  This Exhibit is dedicated to African American women, surrounded by the glitz
  and glamour of fashion…Honored in a place where their fashions, their hairdos
  and their attitudes are seen as world changing!


  *Saturday, October 15th 6:00pm The Uzuri Project ~ The Beauty Of Our Legacy
  New St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 331 Garland Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas

  Poetry, Prose, Song spoken and sung by Hot Springs Women … Guest Speaker,
  Dr. Patricia McGraw will spread the word of the accomplishments of the
  women in the photographs and African American women nationally.


  November 1st ~ November 30th 10:00-5:00pm Monday-Friday
  Union Missionary Baptist Church, 219 Gulpha Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas ...

  An Exhibit highlighting some of the African American churches in Hot Springs.
  These are never before seen photographs, copies of some older souvenir programs,
  c1942 with photographs.


  *Saturday, November 19th, 6:00pm – The Black Church, Is It In Crisis?
  Union Missionary Baptist Church, 219 Gulpha Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas

  Slaves willing to give their lives for a belief in a God that ‘brought us out,
  made a way out of no way’, and helped by its’ very statues to build communities
  by and through a displaced people. Can we go back or is there a way to move
  forward? Guest Speaker, Rev. Harold Eckelberger, Pastor of Haven United
  Methodist Church.

  ~~ “Our Community”
  Hu International Sculpture & Gallery, 610 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, Arkansas

  This is a new Photographic Exhibit showing “Our Community” as seen through
  the eyes of the artist, Long Hua Xu. Long Hua’s unique vision of the collected
  historic photographs from an international perspective and as an artist will
  surprise and please home town folks and visitors as well.
